Android App: You can disable location permissions in Settings → Apps → ADC Marine → Permissions → Location
Web App: Location access requires explicit permission via browser prompt

Location data is stored locally on your device by default and optionally synced to our servers only with your explicit consent.

Provide core app functionality (engine hour tracking, maintenance reminders, location tracking)

4. Data Storage and Security

Primary Storage: Your data is stored primarily on your device. We do not require a cloud account to use ADC Marine's core features.

Optional Cloud Sync: If you opt into cloud backup/sync features (future feature), data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+ and stored securely on our servers.

Data Retention: Data is retained as long as your app is installed. You can delete all data by uninstalling the app or using the "Clear Data" option in Settings.
